WARM UP

Like any game of football or darts, it always starts with some warm-up shots. Each player will have a few shots each at trying to hit the board getting the feel for the game. No scores are recorded during the warm-up.

HIGH SCORE

Each player has 3 shots each at hitting the board whilst trying to score the highest number possible. A person with the highest score after the 3 shots wins.

ROUND THE BOARD

This game consists of all players having 3 balls each and trying to work their way around all the numbers on the board starting from the number 1 then finishing on the bullseye. The format will continue until a player makes their way to the end.

HIGHER OR LOWER

Each player has 1 attempt at landing the ball on a higher or lower number than the player previous. The game rotates until all players are eliminated. Each player has 3 lives each.

RED OR BLACK

The same format as Higher Or Lower only the player chooses between Red or Black on the board.

ARROW DARTS

This game will bring out your inner archer with each player using our Combat Archery bows with specially adapted arrows. Any of the above-mentioned games can be played using the Bows & Arrows

COMBAT ARCHERY

Looking for something a bit different from Indoor Footie?.  Ever secretly wanted to be Robing Hood for a Day?.  Its time!.   Look no further as we transporting you and the lads back to  Medieval times. Book a Combat Archery Session and let our Event Co-ordinator set up some cool new games that are guaranteed to be Orignal, competitive, and a whole load of fun.

DODGE ARROW

In this game, the group gets split into two teams each player gets 2 arrows. The teams start from a base designated by the host. The teams navigate their way around the obstacle trying to avoid enemy fire. If you are hit by the opposite team you must drop your arrows retreat back to your base and start again. DODGE ARROW

The rules of this game follow the rules of dodgeball. The teams start at opposite ends and race into the middle to collect arrows from a buffer zone. You must not cross onto the other team’s side. Once you have collected your arrows you must retreat to your side and unleash your inner Robin Hood on the other team. The aim is to hit the opposing players to eliminate them from the game, when you are hit by the arrow you are eliminated. However, your teammates can get you back in if they can skillfully catch an arrow fired by the opposition.

ELIMINATION

Following the rules of dodge-arrow except for one minor little detail…… when you’re hit your out! If you eliminate the whole opposite team you win! If after 10 minutes neither team is eliminated then the team with the most active players on the field wins.

LOOT RUSH

This game requires skill and tactics. This game requires you to collect as much loot as possible (cones, bibs, etc). You must go out onto the field under enemy fire and collect as much of the loot as you can and return it to your storage area. Each team has 1 storage area and a base. If you are hit you must drop your loot and arrows and return to your base and then you can return to the field. You must defend your loot from the other team as they will attempt to steal it! The team with the most loot wins!

HEN/STAG RUN

Players line along the edge of the field all armed with bows and arrows. The hen/stag must run the gauntlet from one side of the field to the other trying to minimise the hits from the players.

CAPTURE THE FLAG

A flag/cone will be placed on top of each team’s base. The objective of the game is to capture the opposing team’s flag/cone and successfully take it back to your own base without being hit. If you are hit whilst holding the flag/cone then you must drop it where you stand and head back to your base to “respawn” back into the game.

Our Combat Archery sessions are packed with action from start to finish & we aim to tailor the event to your taste.

Your event host on the day will go through the options & make it an experience to remember.

It’s a Knockout Edinburgh games :

• 10 Maids A Milking – A relay race over/under the inflatable to the cow which must be milked to fill the bucket. First team to fill the bucket with water wins!
• Caterpillar tracks – A race to the end of the track and and back, each team must staying in their own lane with all contestants inside the caterpillar track.
• Penguin Pursuits – Race to the cone dressed in a penguin suit, throw your hula hoop over the penguin and then return to your team and swap the suit with a team mate for their turn.
• Chicken Run – race through the inflatable, collecting pieces of chicken. Take what you find under the cargo net to the bucket at the end. Team with the most pieces of chicken wins.
• Rapid Run – the objective is to transfer as much water as possible from one end to the other on the raft pulled at both ends by your team.
• Ski Funday – All the contestants must stand on the team ski’s together and race their skis up and then and back down their own lane.
• Water Works – With a big bucket of water at one end and an empty bucket at the other, the team must stand in hoops and transfer as much water as possible using only sponges!
• Fast Food Frenzy – Each team has 10 items of food to collect amongst all the foam, and throw to the nominated ‘chef’, the winning team is the first to collect all 10 pieces.

ZORBING IN EDINBURGH
Zorbing in Edinburgh is the latest fun activity. Also known as Sphering it involves strapping yourself into a giant rubber ball and rolling down a hill at speeds of up to 30 miles an hour. Just like the invention of the wheel it is simple but brilliant. If that does not provide enough adrenaline you must be an adrenaline junky. So you might want to try some extreme zorbing options such as Harness Zorbing with a friend or Eclipse Zorbing. This is where you roll down the hill in the pitch dark created by our blacked out ball.
Grab a friend or unsuspecting relative. Climb inside the Sphere and hold your breath as you tumble at great speed down the glorious Scottish hillside!. Two rolls and you’ll be addicted. Zorbing was introduced to the UK by those Adrenalin addicts in New Zealand. It has quickly become a big favourite with people hunting for a unique experience. Sphering and Zorbing are essentially the same activity – you climb into an inflatable ball (Zorb or Sphere) and roll down a hill screaming your head off like a lunatic!
We offer several different sphering days. Options include eclipse sphereing where you fall down the hill in daytine darkness or harness sphereing for those who want the safety of being harnessed to the inflatable ball.

Get ready for a very wet, adrenalin-filled day. White water rafting Edinburgh is one of the very best rivers in Scotland. The Rivers we use are free flowing, and river levels can fluctuate dramatically over the season. Calm pools of water separate the rapids – perfect for getting your breath back and admiring the spectacular highland scenery before you tackle the next rapid. We pick the best river available for your big day to ensure that you have the very best rafting experience.
During the half-day rafting trip you will float about six miles in distance> we start around the old market town of Aberfeldy. Here the river winds lazily along the Tay valley, through rolling hills and stunning scenery. This is an area with a diverse wildlife, which is best seen from the river. The paddle crew has ample opportunity to practice their newly learnt rafting skills with a variety of fun and challenging games before the river drops away and creates challenging rapids that flow down to Grandtully.
Rapids such as ‘Zoom Flume‘ and ‘The Washing Machine‘ keep people on their toes, before the grand finale: ‘The Grandtully Rapid‘. This is the longest rapid on the river and provides one or two surprises for the unwary rafter!
High water usually from September to April provides the exhilaration of greater speed, bigger waves and challenging rafting. Lower flows during the summer months provide a more scenic and gentle introduction but require tight teamwork and more precise manoeuvring.
All our white water rafting trips include all equipment required plus a professional experienced guide per raft combined with a overall trip leader in charge of the trip. A logistics manager on land who is also a very experienced guide. All equipment required which includes over £150 worth of wetsuits, helmets, lifejackets and paddles.

Test your driving skills to the absolute max and enjoy the ultimate adrenaline rush of Rage Buggy off roadracing. These puppies are bigger and badder than Honda Pilots so if you want some extreme racing this is it.
Begin by signing on at reception – we need the disclaimer signed for this one! You then head over to the kit room to be fitted out with helmets, goggles, gloves and waterproofs (if it’s wet). Your instructor will give you a quick safety brief and run through the controls. He will also give you some tips on braking points and how to get the most out of the Rage’s limited-slip diff.

You will be split into race groups and head off for some practice. We can run up to 8 Rage Buggies out on the track at once, depending on the size of the group. After each race heat you will be given your lap times so you can see how you’re doing against the rest of the group. If your slow, it doesn’t matter because we scrap all the times and everyone goes into the final – it’s anyone’s game now! Sometimes the fast guys spin off when the pressures on! The top 3 drivers go up on the podium to spray the bubbly.Duration:-
Your session lasts approximately 1hr 30mins to 2 hours, depending on the size of the group.

Test your driving skills to the max on a spectacular International size outdoor track which is fully floodlit and open all year round. Enjoy the ultimate adrenaline rush in an exhilarating twin-engine 70mph pro-karts. Go Karting Edinburgh is our top activity for Stag Groups.

You will be racing a fleet of 11hp twin engine Biz pro-karts on a spectacular outdoor circuit. These karts are not for the faint hearted capable of reaching speeds of up to 70mph – adrenaline rush comes as standard.

You don’t need to wait until the Spring for outdoor Go karting in Edinburgh. Just remember to wrap up warm though!

All equipment is supplied; Karting racesuit, crash helmet and gloves, plus wetsuit when required. We recommend that participants wear layered clothing and lightweight boots or trainers (no sandals, open toes or high heels please). We can run up to 20 karts in each race on the outdoor circuit. Events can be booked for small groups of up to 10, or for larger groups of up to 40, or more by arrangement (up to 100 drivers) – all subject to meeting minimum event costs.

The circuit we use is ranked among many of the top pro-karters as one of the most challenging circuits in the UK with a superb combination of tight hairpins, swooping bends and long straights. Your group will have access to the recently extended cafeteria as well as a private outdoor cabin to spectate from should the weather be less favourable.

GROUP SIZES

There are two group sizes for Saturday and Sunday Super Grand Prix events – either a group of up to 16 drivers, or a group of up to 32 drivers. No previous experience is necessary although all drivers must be over 16 years of age. The Race – Outdoor Super Grand Prix– Every driver will compete in a practice session followed by 3 eight-lap heats with the top drivers going through into a Grand Final, with prizes for the top drivers. What To Expect
When you come to play at Urban Paintball Edinburgh the 100 paintball starter session lasts 1 hour. During this time you will play a minimum of 2 different objective based missions before the final Hunt the Stag mission. This is where the Stag/best man M16 upgrade will be required. Our facility is located just 5 minutes from Edinburgh city centre and no matter what the weather, we will be open.
ED STAG TIP OF THE DAY
Great paintball experience. Don’t forget that our specially trained Marshals will tell you that you can’t get up yet as you are still dead. If in doubt or under pressure sneak away and purchase some Gas and an Inferno gun from the base and go out with a bang. That should be enough to make you a legend.

Edinburgh hovercrafts racing is a very cool, fun, adrenaline pumping activity which is bit different from the norm, then you should seriously consider Hovercraft racing.
Get on your helmet and overalls and get ready to race our mini hovercraft’s around the track against the clock in search of glory and bragging rights.
Equally at home on land or water. Mini hovercraft’s have no brakes and actually float on the air which is loads of fun. Experience the thrill of actually hovering above the ground on a cushion of air, and test your skills as you man-oeuvre the hovercraft around our circuit.
These fantastic Edinburgh hovercrafts can be handled by anyone aged 16 years or over. Full safety equipment and tuition are provided as standard.
We operate two single-seat hovercraft with everyone enjoying 10 minutes practice time flying up and down a large grass field. After you have got to grips with the hovercraft controls, you are then timed over six laps, weaving in and out of cones, with a five second penalty for each cone hit. The hovercraft handle very differently from a standard vehicle, having no brakes and requiring the operator to lean into the turn. They are great fun and very competitive when it comes to the timed sessions.

Test your driving skills to the max and enjoy the ultimate adrenaline rush racing small 400cc off road buggies with the power to weight ratio of a Porsche (and acceleration to match) round a course. If you drive an Astra be prepared to head for the car showroom on Monday morning as your drive to work will never be the same again!.
Begin by signing on at reception, Don’t forget to leave an emergency contact number and not 999, cos we’ve had that one! Into the kit room for helmets, goggles and gloves, then head over to the pilot track. If it’s dry they are a handful, but if it’s wet they are wicked!
After a quick safety brief and demo of the controls, it’s straight out for some practice, followed by timed heats and everyone goes into the final. We run up to 8 Honda Pilots at one time, depending on the group size. If you survive the final without a spin off or a black flag you might be one of the lucky 3 on the podium with the bubbly.
The package includes a practice heat followed by qualifying heats. It’s then full on for the final race against the clock and other drivers to set fastest time around the ¾ mile track with jumps, hill climb and drop offs.

The Race-Each driver will compete in a practice session followed by 4 heats and a semi-final, with the top drivers going through into a Grand Final, racing for a podium finish with prizes for the top drivers. The event should last a minimum of 2 hours depending on group size.
Safety & Equipment – On arrival you will sign on and pick up your top quality CIK-approved racewear, helmets, and gloves. You will then attend a full safety briefing, covering racing techniques, driver safety, and track procedures. EDINBURGH GOLF TOURNAMENT
If you want to have your own Mini Golf event in Edinburgh then we have a fantastic package which includes transport, green fees, welcome pack with baseball cap, golf ball, golf marker, tees, Packed lunch with drink and a private photographer for the day.
Your event starts when our Luxury Mini-bus collects you at your accommodation and drops you off at our historic Edinburgh Golf course where you will play for the ‘Champion Golfer Trophy’.
After collecting your welcome packs which include golf ball, baseball cap, ball marker, bag of tees and snack pack. Your photographer for the day will get some great photographs of the lads on the first tee and out on the course. We will then turn the photos in to hard copies and send them to you in an album as a reminder of your day (plus electronic copies via email) . Now enjoy a course steeped in the history of the game having been a test piece for James Braid and also the American, Tommy Armour in the 1910’s.
The golf itself is set amongst some of the most fearsome gorse rough and spectacular tee shots to beautifully kept and true greens. Wayward shots are punished, but straight drives are prized with hard fought Birdies and Pars. It plays to all of its 5345 yards and you would be rewarded coming away with a par of 70.

Come and visit the distillery and experience a real taste of Scotland.

Your visit begins in our Old Malting Floors where you will have a chance to see our fantastic exhibition which hosts the renowned model distillery. You will then be met by your guide and you will by led through the production area of the distillery learning how to make our water of life.

Your full-sensory tour culminates in a tutored whisky tasting of 3 drams and 3 wee cocktails in our Tasting Room – a delicious ending to a wonderful adventure at the Lowland Home of Johnnie Walker.

Few parts of Scotland can boast of more history than this. In 1745 Prince Charles Edward Stuart reached the peak of his brief power at Prestonpans on the Firth of Forth just north of Glenkinchie, where his Highlanders defeated John Cope’s Hanoverian forces with such certainty that London itself seemed under threat.
The contemporary folk song ‘Johnny Cope’ records Cope’s shocking defeat and his reaction after fleeing back to Dunbar, leaving his men.Distilling (mostly illegal) was taking place here long before the skills of crop rotation were know; in 1777 Edinburgh housed perhaps four hundred illicit distilleries. When the law was changed to permit smaller licensed distilleries, many farmers took out licenses.By the time the distillery was founded in 1837, 115 licensed distilleries were recorded in the Lowlands, though their products would probably not pass muster today!

If jumping off 7 metre high cliffs, sliding down natural river slides and being lowered over 15-20 metre high waterfalls is your idea of having fun, then the extreme sport of Edinburgh cliff jumping is probably right up your street.
This day starts with a safety and equipment briefing before being kitted out with wetsuits, neoprene socks, life jackets and helmets.
After taking the short journey to the river mouth your ultimate adrenaline rush begins with a spectacular 100 ft abseil down into the gorge itself, an experience that can only help to prepare you for the thrills and spills ahead. Be prepared to test your nerve to the extreme against features such as the Devil’s Run, a 30 ft leap from a sloping slab of rock into the deep, dark waters below during the adrenaline thrilled day you will swim through rapids, jump cliffs, navigate huge waterfalls and rock scramble. Canyoning is a unique new sport undertaken in spectacular scenery where the thrills are guaranteed.
The sport of cliff jumping (also known as gorge walking or scrambling) has really taken off in Scotland in recent years as more and more people try it for themselves and realise just how much fun it can be.
Described as being like caving with the roof off, our gorge-walking trips allow you to test your mettle against the rugged and taxing terrain carved out over the centuries by the chaotic frothing waters at the bottom of the ravine.
Gorge walking takes you through an exhilarating landscape of waterfalls, plunge pools, rocky outcrops and fast-moving torrents sandwiched between sandstone walls up to 100 ft high. Our experienced guides will help you negotiate the gorge, scrambling from pool to pool over ledges, ridges and other challenging rocky obstacles.
While a degree of fitness is required to participate in our canyoning outings, our guides will tailor each trip to the capabilities of your group, so you’ll never have to tackle anything beyond your abilities.
Edinburgh Cliff Jumping : Equipment
Expect to get wet when canyoning in Scotland! Don’t worry, though: we’ll provide all the equipment you need to stay safe and (relatively) comfortable, including:

As the water in Scotland can be very cold in the winter we wait until May in order to start Canyoning. The activity then runs until the end of September depending on water levels.
Canyoning does not require you to be hugely fit however as it is a full half day activity – a certain level of fitness is required i.e. the ability to walk up a small hill without dying

If you ever secretly wanted to play Robin Hood and his merry men with your mates then now is your big chance!. Get your tights on and head for our purpose-built archery facility in the wooded depths of Kirknewton.

Enjoy one of the most ancient and noble sports with a session of archery. Archery is clearly an activity that needs a steady hand, so it may be best to breathalyse the lads or arrange for a late morning start.

Unfortunately, there’s no Sheriff of Nottingham to aim for but we are confident that your band of merry men will have a great time learning how to send those feathered arrows through the air and hit the bull’s eye target at our woodland archery venue. Feel the thrill as your arrow splits your competitors to take the glory – or not!
With experienced tuition you’ll quickly understand how to load the bow and shoot like a skilled marksman, putting your archery skills into practice for around an hour at this tranquil glade in the middle of Kirknewton woodland.

Our Archery Range is built to a high spec offering a variety of targets and distances encouraging natural progression and achievement. Hugely satisfying skill to develop with a “thwack” of the arrow hitting the bull. For the purpose of clarity that would be a bullseye and not any nearby live stock.
Allow spending an hour and a half on-site. Your archery experience includes a welcome and safety briefing, an introduction to the equipment, and around an hour on the archery range. Exact timings will vary depending on the numbers on the day. All equipment and tuition are provided.

Gentleman Archery is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow ideally at a target and not your mates. If in doubt for guaranteed success just have a few beers and kid on your playing darts on an oversize board. Does that make sense?.

Dust off your Melchester Rovers away strip and become Roy of the Rovers for a day as you take on the lads at a game of 5-aside footie.
No stag do would be complete without playing a good old game of football the world’s number one sport. There is nothing more British than having a kick about with the boys but make sure not to leave the boot in as we don’t want any casualties early in the game.
Our great 5 a-side footie activity starts when you are picked up by your private team bus and whisked off to the hallowed turf. Then it school yard pick time as the captains pick their sides and hand out the bibs. Enjoy a great 1 hour session and burn off a few million calories before you head out on the town.

Some of our groups have booked footie early on Saturday and Sunday morning. This is not the best time due to the 34 pints consumed by the lads the night before. 5 a-side footie works better on Frdiay nights and in the afternoon at weekends. Does that make sense?.
