Looking to humiliate the Stag or Best Mand we have all seen the hilariously funny and famous movie…now you can play it for real! with Edinburgh Stag & Hen.

WRONG-ARM DODGEBALL

A standard game of Dodgeball with a slight twist. Rather than players using their strong arms, they play with the opposite arm. E.g If the player is right-handed then they can only throw the ball with their left and the same for opposites.

LAST PLAYER STANDING

Players are divided into 2 teams and a normal game of Dodgeball is played. The first team to eliminate all opposing players wins!

BULLDODGE

Same rules as the traditional game of Bulldog, only with Dodgeballs. 1 player (The Bulldog) starts off in the centre of the court with a number of dodgeballs. The Bulldogs goal is to hit as many of the other players as he can whilst they attempt to run past. If you are struck with a dodgeball then you join the Bulldog in centre court. The last player standing wins.

SPEED BALL

A standard more fast-paced game of Dodgeball. Games are 3-minute rounds, at the end of the 3 minutes, the team with the most players left wins.

MEDIC

A standard game of Dodgeball but with one player being allocated as the medic. The medic can bring back in eliminated players but can also be eliminated themselves. Protect your medic at all times!

STAG/HEN BLITZ

The aim of the game is for the stag/hen to run as fast as possible from one end of the court to another making there way to the “safe zone”. The other players line up and attempt to hit the stag/hen as much as possible.

KILL THE STAG/HEN

Need we say anymore? The stag/hen is stood in the centre of the court with all other players forming a circle around them. The players have 30’secs to hit the stag/hen as many times as possible.

Warm Up
Every great game starts with a bit of practice. Players each get a few casual shots to get a feel for the ball and the board—no pressure, no scoring. It’s the perfect way to loosen up and get your eye in before the real competition begins.

High Score
Simple, fast-paced, and fiercely competitive. Each player gets three shots to rack up the highest total score on the board. Big numbers mean big wins, and accuracy is everything. Think darts, but with your feet—and way more banter.

Round the Board
Players must work their way around the board starting from number 1, hitting each number in sequence before finishing on the bullseye. You’ll need consistency, strategy, and a bit of luck to climb your way to victory. Great for longer sessions and group rotations.

Higher or Lower
Can you call it right? One at a time, players step up and try to land the ball on a number that’s either higher or lower than the previous shot—based on a rotating call. Each player gets three lives, and wrong guesses cost you one. Last player standing takes the win!

Red or Black
A twist on classic darts strategy. Each player chooses Red or Black before taking a shot. Hit your chosen colour and you stay in the game—miss it, and you’re out. Fast, unpredictable, and guaranteed to raise the stakes.

Arrow Darts
Ready to switch things up? Take aim with specially adapted bows and foam-tipped arrows for a whole new way to play. All the above game modes can be played using arrows instead of footballs—offering a fresh, exciting twist that tests your aim and adds variety to the session.

SCHOOL SPORTS DAY

Sports Day with a twist…

Remember good old-fashioned School Sports Days?… Egg & Spoon Race?…Sack Race?…Wheelbarrow Race?…3 Legged Race?…the list is endless.Well now Edinburgh Stag & Hen can make that happen and bring back those memories and take you back to your younger days.  A minimum of 10 participants are required  to take part in a host of old schools sports day games organised and supervised by our dedicated team.

Here is a list of our Sports Day Games:

DIZZY RACE

Participant has to spin around 20 times then run in and out of cones to end cone and back again to tag their team mate, format continues for the rest of the team to complete.

SACK RACE

Participant gets in a sack provided and proceeds to jump in the sack to the end of the lane and back to their team mate, format continues for the rest of the team to complete.

BEAN HEAD

Participant has to balance a bean bag on their head while getting to the end of the lane as fast as possible and back to teammate to repeat process. Format continues for the rest of the team to complete. If the bean bag is dropped the participant ‘should’ go back to the start.

EGG & SPOON

Participant has to balance an egg on the end of spoon whilst running as fast as possible to the end of the lane and back to pass over the egg & spoon the the next teammate. Format continues for the rest of the team. If the egg is dropped the participant must stop where they are and place the egg back on the spoon before continuing to run.

SKIPPING RACE

Participant uses the skipping rope provided to skip to the end of the lane and back to their team mate to repeat. Format continues for the rest of the team to complete.

3-LEGGED RACE

Two participants have to join together and attach a special strap to their adjoining legs (left leg for one, right leg for the other) which will create three legs between two participants. They then combined have to get to the end of the lane and back as quick as possible. The strap then has to be transferred to the next pair waiting. Format continues for the rest of the team to complete.

FOOTBALL DRIBBLE

Participant dribbles with football in and out of cones to the end cone and back again, then passes over to team mate who repeats process. Format continues for the rest of the team to complete.

TIC-TAC-TOE

Each team will have 3 colour-coded bibs. On go, the first person from each team will run to the tic tac toe board (9 placed Hula Hoops) and place it in one of the hula hoops. They will race back to their team and the next participant will go. This will continue until the 3 bibs are placed. The goal is to have your team get 3 in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally). If all 3 bibs from both teams have been placed and there is no tic tac toe, the next participant in line will be able to move one of their own team bibs into an open hula hoop.

THROWING

Two hoops stay in the racing lane and with the bean bag the participants alternatively take turns to throw the bean bag into one of the two hoops. On a point system, 2 points the closets hoop, 3 points for the furthest away hoop. The team with the most points win.

SPACE HOPPING

With the space hopper provided the participant attempts to get to the end of the lane and back to their teammate as fast as they can while on the space hopper. The format continues for the rest of the team to complete.

WHEELBARROW

In pairs, they have to attempt a wheelbarrow run to the end of the lane and back again as fast as they can. They have to achieve this by participant 1 getting into a press up position. Participant 2 then takes hold of participant 1’s ankles. Using participant 1 as a ‘wheelbarrow’ they then compete in the race. At the end of the lane they switch over roles and participant 2 becomes the ‘wheelbarrow’. The format continues for the rest of the team to complete.

TUG OF WAR

All participants from each team will grab opposite ends of a 20m Tug of War rope and pull against the opposing team. Whatever team successfully pulls all participants from the opposing team over the centre mark wins.

FULL TEAM RELAY

Participant 1 runs in and out of the cone to the end cone and back again to participant 2. They link arms with participant 2 and repeat the process. They then link with participant 3 and the process continues through the whole team to create a chain of runners. The format continues until the whole team crosses the finishing line.

Our Combat Archery sessions are designed to keep the action flowing from start to finish. Below are just some of the game formats you’ll enjoy:

DODGE ARROW

A fast-paced team game where dodgeball meets archery. Two teams face off from opposite ends of the field and race to the centre to collect arrows from the neutral zone. Players must stay on their side of the field while launching arrows at the opposition. If you’re hit, you’re out—unless one of your teammates catches an incoming arrow to bring you back in. Expect high drama, quick reflexes, and plenty of team spirit.

ELIMINATION

Similar to Dodge Arrow, but with higher stakes. Once you’re hit, you’re out—no second chances. The objective is to completely eliminate the opposing team. If time runs out before a full elimination, the team with the most remaining players takes the win. It’s simple, intense, and highly competitive.

LOOT RUSH

Strategy meets chaos in this tactical challenge. Teams must dash into the open field under enemy fire to collect as much “loot” (cones, bibs, etc.) as possible and return it to their base. Get hit, and you drop everything and head back to respawn. You’ll also need to defend your loot stash—because the other team is coming for it. The team with the most loot at the end wins.

HEN/STAG RUN

A hilarious, must-play favourite for stag and hen groups. The chosen hen or stag must sprint across the field while the rest of the group—armed and ready—fires arrows in their direction. The goal? Make it to the other side with as few hits as possible. The result? Non-stop laughs and unforgettable memories.

CAPTURE THE FLAG

A classic game with an archery twist. Each team has a flag (or cone) positioned at their base. The mission is to grab the opposing team’s flag and bring it safely back to your own base—without getting hit. If you’re struck while carrying the flag, you must drop it where you stand and return to your base before jumping back in.

Our Combat Archery experiences are built for variety and energy, and no two sessions are the same. Your event coordinator will run through the game options on the day and customise the flow of the session to match your group’s style—ensuring it’s a thrilling and memorable experience from start to finish.

On arrival, head into reception for sign-on and kit-up – waterproofs are a must for this one! Then head over to the quad park to pick up your own individual Yamaha Grizzly.

The instructors will give you a safety brief, to include controls, weight distribution and operation of ejector seat. You will then go out on the training area to see if you have what it takes to survive on our green, red and black runs.

The instructor will split the group up on ability so no one feels they are holding the group up or the run is too slow for them. With over 80 acres of woodland, getting lost is only one of your problems, getting stuck is more likely! Our team can make it as easy or as hard as you want – it’s your session – you choose!

Duration:-

Training can take 10-30 minutes, depends on ability but you’re still riding the bike at all times. Quad sessions last for 60 mins.

‘Open’ sessions run most Saturdays. The minimum number is 5, as you would normally be mixed with other groups.

It’s a Knockout Edinburgh games :

• 10 Maids A Milking – A relay race over/under the inflatable to the cow which must be milked to fill the bucket. First team to fill the bucket with water wins!
• Caterpillar tracks – A race to the end of the track and and back, each team must staying in their own lane with all contestants inside the caterpillar track.
• Penguin Pursuits – Race to the cone dressed in a penguin suit, throw your hula hoop over the penguin and then return to your team and swap the suit with a team mate for their turn.
• Chicken Run – race through the inflatable, collecting pieces of chicken. Take what you find under the cargo net to the bucket at the end. Team with the most pieces of chicken wins.
• Rapid Run – the objective is to transfer as much water as possible from one end to the other on the raft pulled at both ends by your team.
• Ski Funday – All the contestants must stand on the team ski’s together and race their skis up and then and back down their own lane.
• Water Works – With a big bucket of water at one end and an empty bucket at the other, the team must stand in hoops and transfer as much water as possible using only sponges!
• Fast Food Frenzy – Each team has 10 items of food to collect amongst all the foam, and throw to the nominated ‘chef’, the winning team is the first to collect all 10 pieces.

You will get to use throwing knives, Red Indian style Tomahawks and potentially double handed throwing axes (due to the size and weight of the AXE, this is at the discretion of the instructor).

There is nothing more satisfying than being the 1st in your group to stick all 3 of your specially forged throwing knives in our huge log targets, with the deep thud of the huge double handed woodsman axe as it hits it mark.

Get ready for a very wet, adrenalin-filled day. White water rafting Edinburgh is one of the very best rivers in Scotland. The rivers we use are free-flowing, and river levels can fluctuate dramatically over the season. Calm pools of water separate the rapids – perfect for getting your breath back and admiring the spectacular highland scenery before you tackle the next rapid. We pick the best river available for your big day to ensure that you have the very best rafting experience.
During the half-day rafting trip, you will float about six miles in distance> We start around the old market town of Aberfeldy. Here, the river winds lazily along the Tay valley, through rolling hills and stunning scenery. This is an area with diverse wildlife, which is best seen from the river. The paddle crew has ample opportunity to practice their newly learned rafting skills with a variety of fun and challenging games before the river drops away and creates challenging rapids that flow down to Grandtully.
Rapids such as ‘Zoom Flume‘ and ‘The Washing Machine‘ keep people on their toes, before the grand finale: ‘The Grandtully Rapid‘. This is the longest rapid on the river and provides one or two surprises for the unwary rafter!
High water, usually from September to April, provides the exhilaration of greater speed, bigger waves, and challenging rafting. Lower flows during the summer months provide a more scenic and gentle introduction but require tight teamwork and more precise maneuvering.
All our whitewater rafting trips include all equipment required plus a professional, experienced guide per raft combined with an overall trip leader in charge of the trip. A logistics manager on land who is also a very experienced guide. All equipment is required, which includes over £150 worth of wetsuits, helmets, lifejackets, and paddles.

Test your driving skills to the absolute max and enjoy the ultimate adrenaline rush of Rage Buggy off-road racing. These puppies are bigger and badder than a Honda Civic, so if you want some extreme racing, this is it.

Begin by signing on at reception—we need the disclaimer signed for this one! You then head over to the kit room to be fitted out with helmets, goggles, gloves, and waterproofs (if it’s wet). Your instructor will give you a quick safety brief and run through the controls.

will also give you some tips on braking points and how to get the most out of the Rage’s limited-slip diff.

You will be split into race groups and head off for some practice. We can run up to 8 Rage Buggies out on the track at once, depending on the size of the group. After each race heat you will be given your lap times so you can see how you’re doing against the rest of the group. If your slow, it doesn’t matter because we scrap all the times and everyone goes into the final – it’s anyone’s game now! Sometimes the fast guys spin off when the pressures on! The top 3 drivers go up on the podium to spray the bubbly. Duration:

You will be racing a fleet of 11hp twin engine Biz pro-karts on a spectacular outdoor circuit. These karts are not for the faint hearted capable of reaching speeds of up to 70mph – adrenaline rush comes as standard.

You don’t need to wait until the Spring for outdoor Go karting in Edinburgh. Just remember to wrap up warm though!

All equipment is supplied; Karting racesuit, crash helmet and gloves, plus wetsuit when required. We recommend that participants wear layered clothing and lightweight boots or trainers (no sandals, open toes or high heels please). We can run up to 20 karts in each race on the outdoor circuit. Events can be booked for small groups of up to 10, or for larger groups of up to 40, or more by arrangement (up to 100 drivers) – all subject to meeting minimum event costs.

The circuit we use is ranked among many of the top pro-karters as one of the most challenging circuits in the UK with a superb combination of tight hairpins, swooping bends and long straights. GROUP SIZES

There are two group sizes for Saturday and Sunday Super Grand Prix events – either a group of up to 16 drivers, or a group of up to 32 drivers. No previous experience is necessary although all drivers must be over 16 years of age. The Race – Outdoor Super Grand Prix– Every driver will compete in a practice session followed by 3 eight-lap heats with the top drivers going through into a Grand Final, with prizes for the top drivers. Edinburgh hovercrafts racing is a very cool, fun, adrenaline pumping activity which is bit different from the norm, then you should seriously consider Hovercraft racing.
Get on your helmet and overalls and get ready to race our mini hovercraft’s around the track against the clock in search of glory and bragging rights.
Equally at home on land or water. Mini hovercraft’s have no brakes and actually float on the air which is loads of fun. Experience the thrill of actually hovering above the ground on a cushion of air, and test your skills as you man-oeuvre the hovercraft around our circuit.
These fantastic Edinburgh hovercrafts can be handled by anyone aged 16 years or over. Full safety equipment and tuition are provided as standard.
We operate two single-seat hovercraft with everyone enjoying 10 minutes practice time flying up and down a large grass field. After you have got to grips with the hovercraft controls, you are then timed over six laps, weaving in and out of cones, with a five second penalty for each cone hit. The hovercraft handle very differently from a standard vehicle, having no brakes and requiring the operator to lean into the turn. They are great fun and very competitive when it comes to the timed sessions.

Test your driving skills to the max and enjoy the ultimate adrenaline rush racing small 400cc off road buggies with the power to weight ratio of a Porsche (and acceleration to match) round a course. If you drive an Astra be prepared to head for the car showroom on Monday morning as your drive to work will never be the same again!.
Begin by signing on at reception, Don’t forget to leave an emergency contact number and not 999, cos we’ve had that one! Into the kit room for helmets, goggles and gloves, then head over to the pilot track. If it’s dry they are a handful, but if it’s wet they are wicked!
After a quick safety brief and demo of the controls, it’s straight out for some practice, followed by timed heats and everyone goes into the final. We run up to 8 Honda Pilots at one time, depending on the group size. If you survive the final without a spin off or a black flag you might be one of the lucky 3 on the podium with the bubbly.
The package includes a practice heat followed by qualifying heats. It’s then full on for the final race against the clock and other drivers to set fastest time around the ¾ mile track with jumps, hill climb and drop offs.

If you want to have your own Mini Golf event in Edinburgh then we have a fantastic package which includes transport, green fees, welcome pack with baseball cap, golf ball, golf marker, tees, Packed lunch with drink and a private photographer for the day.
Your event starts when our Luxury Mini-bus collects you at your accommodation and drops you off at our historic Edinburgh Golf course where you will play for the ‘Champion Golfer Trophy’.
After collecting your welcome packs which include golf ball, baseball cap, ball marker, bag of tees and snack pack. Few parts of Scotland can boast of more history than this. In 1745 Prince Charles Edward Stuart reached the peak of his brief power at Prestonpans on the Firth of Forth just north of Glenkinchie, where his Highlanders defeated John Cope’s Hanoverian forces with such certainty that London itself seemed under threat.
The contemporary folk song ‘Johnny Cope’ records Cope’s shocking defeat and his reaction after fleeing back to Dunbar, leaving his men.Distilling (mostly illegal) was taking place here long before the skills of crop rotation were know; in 1777 Edinburgh housed perhaps four hundred illicit distilleries. When the law was changed to permit smaller licensed distilleries, many farmers took out licenses.By the time the distillery was founded in 1837, 115 licensed distilleries were recorded in the Lowlands, though their products would probably not pass muster today!

This day starts with a safety and equipment briefing before being kitted out with wetsuits, neoprene socks, life jackets and helmets.
After taking the short journey to the river mouth your ultimate adrenaline rush begins with a spectacular 100 ft abseil down into the gorge itself, an experience that can only help to prepare you for the thrills and spills ahead. Be prepared to test your nerve to the extreme against features such as the Devil’s Run, a 30 ft leap from a sloping slab of rock into the deep, dark waters below during the adrenaline thrilled day you will swim through rapids, jump cliffs, navigate huge waterfalls and rock scramble. Canyoning is a unique new sport undertaken in spectacular scenery where the thrills are guaranteed.
The sport of cliff jumping (also known as gorge walking or scrambling) has really taken off in Scotland in recent years as more and more people try it for themselves and realise just how much fun it can be.
Described as being like caving with the roof off, our gorge-walking trips allow you to test your mettle against the rugged and taxing terrain carved out over the centuries by the chaotic frothing waters at the bottom of the ravine.
Gorge walking takes you through an exhilarating landscape of waterfalls, plunge pools, rocky outcrops and fast-moving torrents sandwiched between sandstone walls up to 100 ft high. Our experienced guides will help you negotiate the gorge, scrambling from pool to pool over ledges, ridges and other challenging rocky obstacles.
While a degree of fitness is required to participate in our canyoning outings, our guides will tailor each trip to the capabilities of your group, so you’ll never have to tackle anything beyond your abilities.

Enjoy one of the most ancient and noble sports with a session of archery. Archery is clearly an activity that needs a steady hand, so it may be best to breathalyse the lads or arrange for a late morning start.

Unfortunately, there’s no Sheriff of Nottingham to aim for but we are confident that your band of merry men will have a great time learning how to send those feathered arrows through the air and hit the bull’s eye target at our woodland archery venue. Feel the thrill as your arrow splits your competitors to take the glory – or not!
With experienced tuition you’ll quickly understand how to load the bow and shoot like a skilled marksman, putting your archery skills into practice for around an hour at this tranquil glade in the middle of Kirknewton woodland.

Our Archery Range is built to a high spec offering a variety of targets and distances encouraging natural progression and achievement. Hugely satisfying skill to develop with a “thwack” of the arrow hitting the bull. For the purpose of clarity that would be a bullseye and not any nearby live stock.
