Edinburgh Stag & Hen Weekend FAQs

After running stag and hen weekends in Edinburgh since 1998, these are the questions that come up again and again. If yours is not here, just ask us.

How far in advance should we book?

For summer weekends and the whole of August during the Fringe, three to four months is sensible, because the best hotels and party apartments go first. Off-season, four to six weeks is usually fine. If your dates are fixed, book the accommodation early and add activities later.

What group size do you cater for?

Everything from a small group of close friends to 20-plus. Larger groups are our bread and butter, and packages and party apartments are built around them. Tell us your numbers and we will size everything to fit.

How do deposits and payment work?

Once you accept your quote, a deposit secures the booking, and the balance is due closer to the trip. You pay online through a secure link, and the whole group's cost is set out per person up front, so there are no surprises. The exact split is shown on your quote.

When is the best time for a stag or hen do in Edinburgh?

Late spring and summer give you the long evenings and the best weather odds. August is the Fringe, which is a brilliant, busy backdrop but books up early and costs a little more. Autumn and winter are quieter and cheaper, and the city looks the part in the run-up to Christmas and Hogmanay.

What if it rains?

It is Scotland, so plan for the chance of it. Most of our night activities are indoors, and the daytime ones that matter run in most weather. We will always tell you honestly if a forecast is going to spoil a specific activity.

What is included in a package?

Our packages bundle accommodation, your chosen activities and the night out into one per-person price. You will see exactly what is covered before you pay, and you can get a quote with your own mix of activities.
